The latest version of the virtual rehabilitation software platform Rehametrics, Rehametrics 2017, stands out for its numerous new features (some of which have been explained in previous posts –like the Enhanced Calendar View or SessionView-) but now, also for the quality and features of its new physical and cognitive reports. In this post, we will explain in more detail one of the latest features added to Rehametrics 2017: its advanced physical and cognitive reports.Physical ReportsIn the physical area of the Reports Application, the range of motion of both upper and lower extremities is shown in detail. For an optimal analysis by clinicians, Rehametrics 2017 uses heatmap graphs to show the actual range of motion of all movements performed and the number of times each of them was completed by the patient during all rehabilitation sessions completed with Rehametrics.
In addition, the advanced physical reports also show balance parameters, enabling the analysis of the limits of stability and the displacement of the center of gravity also using heatmap graphs. As a result, clinicians will have a quantified measure of how the patient is evolving -session after session- in the most important balance measures. Similarly, values relative to steps -both static and dynamic- are also shown in the new physical report. In this case, clinicians will see values representing the speed and range of movement of each leg. Furthermore, we can also find a comparison of the main parameters shown in all sections of the physical report for both sides of the body to determine possible asymmetries.

Cognitive ReportsIn the cognitive area, data collected during the cognitive rehabilitation sessions completed by patients is presented in a clinically meaningful way. In this case, collected data is organized by the following cognitive functions: attention, perception, executive functions, memory, language and processing speed. It is also possible to analyze collected data arranged by each cognitive process trained during Rehametrics sessions. For example, visual perception data can also be analyzed by clinicians classified into simultagnosia, spatial orientation or simple and complex visual perception.

Finally, it is important to mention another new feature: the automatic generation of detailed physical and cognitive reports. These reports will be generated from the clinical data collected during the rehabilitation sessions completed by patients using the Rehametrics virtual rehabilitation platform. However, although the reports are generated automatically, clinicians have several options available to customize them. In this way, healthcare organizations can add their corporate logo, a digital signature and write on free text areas to customize both Rehametrics physical and cognitive reports. At the same time, Rehametrics 2017 also includes the possibility of saving the physical and cognitive reports to a PDF format or to print them. As a result, it will be easier for clinicians to provide a detailed account of what each patient did during the rehabilitation process to patients, their families or to include this information in each patient’s electronic healthcare record.
